Alleged “kingpin” of an Indian 25 million rupee crypto scam arrested at Delhi airport

Was a 60 year old man arrested on December 31 at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi for allegedly leading a 25 million rupee ($ 340,000) cryptocurrency fraud.

Umesh Verma, a former jeweler and greeting card maker, was detained by the Delhi Police Economic Offenses Wing after arriving from Dubai.
