(Reuters) – UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson stands ready to appoint his communications director Lee Cain as the new chief of staff, The Times reported.

Cain had previously served under Johnson’s aide Dominic Cummings in the 2016 Vote Leave campaign for Brexit, and his promotion is part of a restructuring of Johnson’s Downing Street operations, the newspaper said.
