Irish trainer Elliot has banned Reuters’ photo of a dead horse

(Reuters) – Irish trainer Gordon Elliott has been banned for 12 months, six months after that suspension, the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) said Friday after a photo of him was circulated on a dead horse.

“The photo shows Mr. Elliott’s most appalling bad taste,” the IHRB said. “It shows that at a time when the horse is still in his care, it no longer has any respect.”
