Yellen of the U.S. Treasury Division meets with monetary regulators Thursday to debate Reuters volatility

(Reuters) – US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will meet with major financial regulators Thursday to discuss recent volatility in financial markets caused by trading stocks, including GameStop Corp. (NYSE 🙂 said the Treasury Department.

Yellen will meet with heads of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the statement said.

GameStop and other social media darlings bounced back from their heavy sell-off in the previous session in quieter trading on Wednesday as investors focused on the possibility of tighter US trading regulations.
